1971 Ralph Meaney GT built to 1983 IMSA Racer

This Porsche 914 race car started life as a factory demo 4 cylinder car (470.290.0076). Given to and built by Ralph Meaney, the 914 was converted to 914-6 GT spec. using factory GT parts from the #28 Meaney entry at 1971 Sebring.

In 1983 Ray Hendricks purchased the chassis along with most of the 914-6 GT parts still attached and reconfigured the 914 to run in IMSA. Hendricks later entered no less than 19 races between 1983 and 1987, and in 1988 the 914 was no longer allow to race in IMSA.
