This is a late Marelli Twin-plug distributor with the larger 30mm neck, used by Porsche in the 73' 911 RSR race cars. The distributor was rebuilt by Jerry Woods in 2006 and also converted it to the PerTronix pointless ignition system at the same time.

Hi Dirk! Really? Well, I wouldn't listen to him. It is in fact the Pertronix system and it works with either the early or the late Marelli twin plug distributors. Time-tested, track-tested. For further details, here is the Pertronix website http://www.pertronix.com where you can contact Tech-Support.

Hi Armando, what type of pointless ignition did Jerry Woods use?? I`ve asked a Pertronix customer here in Germany and he said, this type wouldn`t work with twin ignition
best regards
Dirk
