In 1969 and 1970 the Porsche racing department build 12 Porsche 914/6GT cars for factory entered races. 3 prototype and test cars, 2 Targa Florio practice cars, 3 Marathon de la Route cars, and finally 3 Monte Carlo Rally http://www.pbase.com/9146gt/image/22237400 and 1RAC rally cars. From the 12 built cars, 2 were scrapped and one did not have the full racing package. This leaves only 9 GT cars. Three factory 914-6 GT cars were build for the Monte Carlo Rally http://www.pbase.com/9146gt/image/54418480 and driven by Andersson, Larousse and Waldegaard http://www.pbase.com/9146gt/image/54418477 who finish in 3rd place with nine overall scratches in the special stages.

The Waldegaard car was scrapped, the Anderson car was sold to Recaro and later changed into a Rapid Response Rescue vehicle and as a fire-fighting equipped race car, it could reach any point of a race track very quickly. This particular 914-6 GT is very unique in its present condition and history. It was assigned to the successfull French race driver Gerard Larousse and his co-pilot J.C. Perramond.
