Take a very close look at this photograph, particularly the way the factory cut the opening for the extra-cooling of the engine compartment. Note the "lip" of the new opening used to reinforce the entire area and the built-in "water-shield" for the carburators below. It will be very difficult to accurately reproduce this engine lid with all of these unique features.
