...So this is how the story goes... The Porsche factory specified the dimensions for a new fuel gauge to be used with the 100 liter fuel tank of the 914-6 GT race cars. In this gallery, you can also see a reproduction of the Porsche 914-6 GT fuel gauge originally provided by VDO (see last photo).

...The first 3 photographs are of my factory original 914-6 GT Fuel Gauge which I am very fortunate to have found (Thank you Carl!).

Armando, Thanks for the speedy reply. I guess my question is specific to your car. I'm wondering what the differences are between the stock (60 liter) and GT (100 liter) sending unit. VDO stamped the calibration group number on the top of the sending unit and on the case of the gauge. Should be something like 21/263 for the 60 liter and 21/287 for liter 100 liter set. What's the latest on the completion of your great project and when will you show it? Keep up the good fight. This site is very inspiring and motivating. Wayne

Wayne, look at the VDO schematic (lower right corner and very faint) and you will see the p/n 914.641.105 http://www.pbase.com/9146gt/image/27973355 - I have no idea about the info. of the sending unit. Hope this helps.
