Minilite Magnesium Wheels, OEM - 9x15 & 10.5x15

These wheels https://pbase.com/9146gt/image/150426486 were available for sale in May/2013, I contacted the Seller (Harry) but I never heard back. The 2 pairs of Minilite Mag wheels were recently sold for $4,800 and now the new owner is offering for sale just one pair from the two sets, and to be specific the wider 10.5x15 at no less than 10K!!! If that pair sells at his asking price of 10K, that will be a new world record! See here http://www.early911sregistry.org/forums/showthread.php?89358-FS-Pair-of-real-Magnesium-Minilite-wheels-(2)-15-quot-x-10.5-quot&s=863de574327c529e3630065e2fb50924&p=654153#post654153 I'm sure that when Harry finds out about it he's not going to be very happy about selling his wheels for $4,800 - on Ebay http://www.ebay.com/itm/Rare-Vintage-Porsche-911-Magnesium-Minilite-Wheels-Two-10-5-x-15-ST-RSR-914-/140994532605?ssPageName=ADME:B:WNA:US:1120 and ending with no bids, as expected.

The last two pairs of OEM Minilite 10.5x15 Mags I sold, one pair went for $4,000 and the other at around the same price. The two pairs I had, both were in slightly superior condition (very clean rim edges), from what I'm now able to see after the media blast and the removal of the bright yellow paint https://pbase.com/9146gt/image/150797193

A recent 'sold' reference for the same exact pair of 10.5 x 15 wheels; A few years ago I sold this pair of wheels to the owner who later sent them to Harvey for restoration. After the restoration, the wheels were offered for sale at a starting asking price of $8,500, http://www.early911sregistry.org/forums/showthread.php?74903-Fs-rare-ST-magnesium-minilites. A link to photos after they were beautifully restored http://www.early911sregistry.org/forums/showthread.php?74903-Fs-rare-ST-magnesium-minilites&p=565168&viewfull=1#post565168 (Great job Harvey!). As the Seller mentioned in his ad, and I'll quote; "They are very nice with less than the normal magnesium corrosion. The lips are smooth as stock and the centers are left rough also as stock. They have not been damaged, cracked or welded..." As the previous owner of these wheels, I confirm his comments http://www.early911sregistry.org/forums/showthread.php?74903-Fs-rare-ST-magnesium-minilites&p=566990&viewfull=1#post566990. According to a reliable source, the wheels were sold just under the original asking price of $8,500.
