Build to FIA Group 4 specification as req.by IMSA/FIA GTU rules using Factory 914-6 GT Kit.First raced at Taladega,AL.in 1971 IMSA race.I ended up second to Peter Greg and Hurley Haywood in there Brumos 914-6 #59 using #19 for the 1971 IMSA season in this car. Documented race History ever since.

Vehicle Information: 914-6 / VIN 914.043.0033 / Chassis 130008 / Built 11/69

Imported by VW-Canada, possibly the first 914 and only 914/6 ever imported by them into Canada. VW-Canada did not regularly import 914 models until mid to late 1971.

It has been almost 4 years since your last post at the Harry Bytzek 914-6 GT. The 914 is now near my home (about 1 ½ hours) at a friend's shop for a full restoration. Hi, my name is warren williams and in the late 70's we raced a 914-6 here in the NW. At Westwood near Vancouver, we raced against another 914-6 Which I believe was this Harry Bytzek 914-6 GT. This car had a rather unique tubular strut going from the inside rear suspension attachment to the round indentation on the firewall , so as to triangulate that piece to limit toe change. I have always been curious as to what happened to that car. I have just within the last few days discovered this fantastic web site. Please reply if you choose to. Thanks WW
