The 914-6 GT Front Mounted Oil Cooler essentially is a 904/906 Front Oil Cooler. The only difference between the GT and the 904/906 oil-coolers, is the location (left or right end-cap) and orientation of where the oil-lines hook-up to the oil-cooler. In the 914-6 GT, the Porsche factory basically started with the same 906 "BEHR" front oil-cooler core and simply requested "BEHR" to remanufacture the cooler end-caps to the 914-6 GT specification. The oil-coolers used on the 914-6 GT cars are easily identifiable because the threaded area where the oil lines connect, are oriented (pointing) towards the side of the 914 inner fender-well, or, you may say pointing at the front left wheel. On the other hand, the 904/906 oil-cooler oil-line hook-ups locations are on the right (opposite of the GT) of the cooler and are oriented directly towards the rear of the car.
