The treasures of Turkey Spring 2012

Always wanted to visit Istanbul but someone else was reluctant, I hunted down a tour of all the major archaeological sites in western Turkey and persuaded him. Starting where Asia meets Europe in the busy modern city of Istanbul we travelled over 2000 miles in 12 days, a challenge but worth it. I am now an ancient history convert and can't wait to do the less developed parts of eastern Turkey.
