Oliver is the newest addition to our home after the recent loss of my aged black Persian. Adopted from the CNY Cat Coalition, he is an enormous domestic medium hair who seems larger than life! His story was one of heartbreak as he was discovered on the streets of Syracuse nearly starved to death. While it is clear he enjoyed a loving home at one time, he somehow found himself without shelter and unable to fend for or feed himself as he had been previously declawed. We adopted him 3 weeks ago and he immediately took his place as prince, commanding affection and admiration from us from the start. I named him Oliver after the Dickens character who also began life in a loving home only to find himself starving on the street. It wasn't until a few days later that I realized that tail never stopped flipping, even when he was at rest, so in a "twist" of the Dickens name, we dubbed him, "Oliver Twitch." He has already stolen our hearts and we feel so fortunate to give him his Forever Home.
