Moth on my mirror DOF expt 3
This (and the previous two shots) were experiments aimed at improving the depth of focus of a macro image. In this case only 2 images were taken (so it wasn't as much work as the previous examples) with different focal depths (one focusing on the moth the other on my lens). The images were then modified such that the out of focus sections were set to high transparency in a gradient towards the sharp regions. The images were then flattened/combined. The intended result was a macro image which is sharp throughout the range of the subject despite the subject not being in a shallow depth plane with respect to the lens.
