Remember you want the ORIGINAL sized image. Note most versions of Internet Explorer have PROBLEMS displaying gif images of this size. Netscape 7.0 up and Firefox do not appear to have this problem. This UK style calendar template (4000 x 6000 pixels 200 dpi) is an easy way to create a custom poster calendar. It is designed to hold a picture of approximately 5120 x 3840 pixels at 200 dpi. However, since this is a gif file with a transparent background it can be used with images up to the size of the template itself by overlaying the template on an image of your choice. This template is designed specifically to exploit the 20" x 30" poster sized prints offered by a variety of online photo services. Use 167 dpi instead of 200 dpi to print at 24" x 36". Most cameras produce images with a 3:4 image aspect ratio that don't match the 2:3 aspect ratio of a 20 x 30 print. However, by pasting your 3:4 ratio image in this template you will produce a file that is perfect for a 20 x 30 print without having to crop your original file, while still maximizing the area for your image. If you do upload your photos, it is wise to remove the check mark from the zoom and trim box if one is present on the ordering page, so you do not lose important details in the periphery of the picture like some of the days of the year. Note in some programs if you paste in your images into the original .gif files (only 256 colors), without first converting the file to a .jpg or changing the colors to RGB (24 bit) color, your images may be converted to 256 colors producing a poor quality image. This image is very large and systems with low amounts of RAM (<128 MB) and or slower CPU may experience problems opening and manipulating this file.
