2010 Last calendar year for templates. In this gallery you will find a new novelty 3D duodecahedral (aka dodecahedral) calendar I created for 2008. This calendar is quite functional and only requires one sheet of 8.5" x 11 (or A4) photo paper to create the smaller sized version (approximately tennis ball-sized), and two sheets of photo paper for the larger grapefruit-sized version. While this calendar is very cheap to make and a quite attractive conversation piece, it takes far more time to make than you may at first realize. Therefore, if you want to make a quick seasonal gift this is not the calendar to choose. However, if you are skilled with scissors, glue (and moderately skilled in Photoshop or similar) and enjoy crafts you may find making custom duodecahedral calendars quite addictive. An option when you assemble the two halves of the calendar is to place a few wrapped hard candies inside packed with a little crumpled tissue paper. This will give the calendar more weight, and the calendar owner will get a small treat at the end of the year.
Please read the specific instructions for the use of the templates in this gallery, found here.
You can also find answers to some of the problems you may encounter downloading and using these templates here on the FAQ page. The JPEG (.jpg files) are the easiest to use and are the best for the novice or those with little free time and/or limited photographic software. The jpg files should allow simple image paste in and print. The gif files have a transparent background and so can be overlaid on an image of your choice and offer a little more flexibility in calendar design but require a little more skill to use.
