Mike Head raised money this weekend to assist his sister-in-law with the funeral expenses for his late brother Donald Head. Mike’s sibling passed away earlier this week. Donald was instrumental in Mike’s success at Senoia Raceway and other southeastern regional short tracks.
“He was a good man, my brother,” explained Mike Head. “He loved this place (Senoia Raceway) and was key to why I ran so well here.”
Mike Head is a member of the National Dirt Racing Hall of Fame and the Georgia Auto Racing Hall of Fame. He won hundreds of feature events across the southeast in many different kinds of race cars. The 1966 Chevrolet Corvair pictured is the car he raced at Senoia Raceway in early years of his career.
