Caye Caulker is a small island about a 45 minute water taxi trip from Belize City and 30 minutes by water taxi from the better known Ambergris Caye. It is a backpacker type island without the big resorts of other Caribbean islands. You can see it all in a couple hours but it is a pleasant place to linger.
