Provide Comfort and the War On Terror), and CONTINUES to serve today.

I WAS IN THE 149th ARMY BAND STATIONED IN SALZBURG FROM ABOUT1953 to 1955 april. WE HAD two BANDS AND PLAYED IN VIENNA AT THE CHANGE OF GUARD. I REALIZE THAT THIS IS MORE OR LESS THE BAND GROUP FROM VIENNA? I PLAYED SOUSAPHONE ALSO STRING BASS PAUL DELFINO

I have been looking for information on my father's service for awhile. Thank you for that one picture. do you have any other photographs with Fred Harkov? I am one of his two sons. My dad passed away in 1993 and he was very proud of his service.

My father, Charles Shephard Hildreth, Sr. from Wadesboro (Lilesville), North Carolina was in the 505th Military Police Battalion in Salzburg, Austria in 1946. Does William A. Good or others remember him or have pictures of that MP Co. to share? Thanks for any info. I have his pictures, but are mostly of sites in Austria and not people. One far off shot shows a group crossing a bridge into Salzburg, Austria in 1946 when there was snow on the ground. Probably would not recognize a face...only equipment and vehicles. Thanks for any help.

Cpl.Ron Bolza, I was in the 202 in 54 to 55, when we had to leave, I went to 793rd mpco Straubing Germany, where we froze playing war in the woods of Grafenware. We had a great group of guys. It was training for me, as I became a Penna. State police trooper for almost 30 years. I worked the coal region and also Troop m, Bethlehem, pa.

My father was in the 202nd MP Div. While Gen'l Mark Clark was there. I have many old pictures of him in front of HQ's, jeeps, inspections with gen'l Bradley and Clark, and many others also. I have found his old orders such as guarding the command train, etc. Some where I have a list of names of guys he he served with and would like to try and contact them. My father passed away November 22, 2004. He was SFC John F. Culpepper. I wish I could have found this site before he dies, he would have loved it. I was in Vienna fron Jan. to Nov. 1946, My name is William A. Good. I 1st served in Jeep with the 505 Militray Police, then the 524th Mps in Jeep and Motorcycle and last with the 796 Motorcycle Squad. I have about 100 pictures I took while in Vienna. I was stationed in Salzburg from Feb. 1955 to May 1955 when the Austrian Government assented to sigh the peace treaty agreement from WW II. It was at that time and as a part of the agreement that all foreign forces would leave Austria, to my great sorrow. I loved serving in Salzburg, the garden spot of the world, and have been back to visit. I went from Salzburg to Erlangen, Germany for the duration of my tour of duty. 5/22/08

To the former soldiers of the USFA : Dear Sirs ! I�m pursueing a project to collect as many information , pictures and personal remembrances of GI�s on the time of occupation of Austria. Unfortunately none of our museums / our officials wants to deal too much with the war / post-war period of our country ( except the "Ludwig Boltzmann Institute for the research of the consequences of war" ). The time is running short for such an idea and that�s why I�m asking you GI�s to help me with this venture. Several of the photos include my great-uncle Clayton Remmele. He died in 2004 and I would love to hear from anyone who has information on his time in the service.

Gavitt REED This was is my grandfather. I have been trying to learn more about his service. I know he was in Vienna in 45 and have many pictures of him with others. Specifically a large german shepard and in an office with what looks like civilian coworkers. Interesting his records state that he was an "agent" and enlisted in "Vienna." None of my military contacts can explain this. Anyone remember him? I would love to learn more. Randy

I was transferred from the 42nd 'Rainbow' Infantry Division July 1945 and left the 202 MP Co. at the end of May 1946. I treasure every memory in Vienna.

I remember George Fromader in Vienna(1946). I ended up company messenger before leaving for home(Michigan). Jim Davis(Georgetown,KY.) and Jack Reck(Middletown,Ohio) have both passed away. Any news from anyone stationed in Hotel Holler in 1946?

I was stationed at the Tulln Army Air Base in 1946 20 miles south of Vienna. I am looking for a photo of Uncle Joe's place, Russian HQ. Did anyone tour the Catacombs under Stephansdome un escorted? I did. Got in through a bomb crater in the street. I would enjoy hearing from anyone. Frank A. Bonelli, Chicago, ILL.
