I am from Austria. I used to work for the 202nd MP Co. (Provost Marshalls Office) in Salzburg, Austria between 1952 and 1955 as Desk Interpreter/Investigator. I recall this time and the very nice guys, that I worked with, with pleasure. I remember two names: Sgt. Daniels and Sgt. Paddy (first name?)If you were a member of the Company in Camp Riedenburg, Salzburg in these years i would be greatfull to receiive Information and if possible pictures from you. My nickname was "Whidy" and my letter of reference is signed by Stephen H. Condict, Major MPC Administrative Officer dated 1. September 1955.
Altho I was never a member of the 202, as a retired Military Police Officer 91956-1977) I want to thank all of you for your outstanding committment and service. I've sent this link along to other people in the retired MP community who may find it of as much interest as I. Thanks again ...

Hoping someone from the 202 can help me. I am restoring a WWII Harley Davdison motorcycle that saw its last military service at Fort Sheridan, then sold as surplus and civilianized. I have had the bike for many years and am close to completion of a full and faithful restoration. I want to put the Army stencils on its fenders--e.g.5th Army 2nd corps. 202nd MP co etc. I have the WWII issue book as to the abbreviations to use. All I am trying to find out is what Army group etc.was based at Ft. Sheridan in the later stages of WWII so that I can get close enough for horsehoes on the markings. If there is anyone in your organization that can direct me to the answer that would be wonderful and appreciated! Thank you- Fred fwacker@comcast.net
