It was very beautiful, but that's all in the past. So sad.
As I've mentioned, I'm counting on the forgetfulness that aging might bring to make my life more bearable. I think it's a wonderful quality, to be cultivated.

Forgotten? Or perhaps just tucked away until we needed a boost of beautiful color to help us over the damp grayness of early Midwestern March. I love the rusty reds, and especially the glowing maples as the sunlight hits them between the shadows. Lucky for us that you had this one held in reserve.
