BREAK DOWN
LARRY DAVID BRADEN

BREAK DOWN

I didn't know what street I was on.
I called the number on the real estate sign and asked.
Yes, it is a six banger and I actually do not have the Northstar System.

I've owned a bunch of Fords......We called it Found On Road Dead....

A Ford will carry you all the way to the scene of the breakdown (all respects to Ron White).
I loved my Escort. Power NOTHING. Nothing to break (except, as shown above, the engine).

Gas? I can afford engine work but gas? That's way too expensive.
Tom Briggs08-Aug-2007 13:01
Engine looks OK to me ... did you check for gas?
Soenda08-Aug-2007 01:01
Oh, noooooooo! And I'm guessing if you had to call that you weren't able to ratchet it back into service. At least you got a very nice sepia tone out of the event. The desaturated tones convey some of the frustration and isolation. It's as if that wide swath of empty road was taunting you. Ditto the real estate sign. You'd think if it was really the twenty-first century, the cars would know better than to break down. :^(

Reminds me of a song we sang about 58 years ago =
You will never go to heaven in an old Ford car.
Because the xxxxxxx old thing wont go that far.

Hope you got it fixed ok.

ah, it did not want one-more-mile with you, Larry?

Stay right there Larry, the postman is on his way with jumper cables.
