So cute! I love your shop, Diane! Cannot wait to stop in the next time I am in Michigan...love and miss you all! You have to head down to Florida and open a place just like it.

Good catch--I like the colors and comp.

Old Max and Ollie ... you can always count on them ...

My kind of store. Great capture with the woman who looks very cold walking into the wind.

Ollie is rescuing treasures, of course. My grandmother used to go to a resale shop like this with her eyes lit up like a kid at Christmas. She'd buy stuff and pass it along to me...and sooner or later when I'm old it will end up back at Ollie's.

It enriches the shot having the woman there, all bundled up and corraling her parcels...in her pretty blue jacket and shoes three sizes too big. The flaking paint on the cornice above the shop reminds us how time is at work on everything---buildings, treasures and people in pretty blue jackets.

Hi Larry,
Oh my gosh this is such a wonderful scene! The colors/colours are really perfect.

Good question, John. I thought about that every time I saw this store. I think they rescue items from being destroyed and sell them. It looks a lot better in person. It's a nice store.

Would there perchance be any indication as to what or who Max Ollie would be rescuing, and what or whom they would be rescued from ?
