Dan Dunn's correct ... you were watching the front door and we aliens always use the back door. Better luck next time ... signed, ET.

Larry, they may be nocturnal. Try going back at night with night vision goggles and your special low-light camera/lens. Remember, don't use a flash or light for any reason!

Great shot and caption. That's the first thing that came to my mind when I saw it too.
dan dunn21-Dec-2006 04:08
there's a front door on the other side I'll bet

Aha...that's assuming that aliens reflect light energy visible to the human eye. They could have been coming and going in infrared light all day long. What's most encouraging is that both you and the visitors (if there were any) all managed to get a long so fabulously well. Bravo. Let's nominate you as an ambassador to aliens. I bet you'd sail through the approvals process with the recommendations of your good friends from the tents that day.

Tim, I never thought of that. No wonder the gate sign said "NURSERY".

Hmm - I thought there were 9 aliens... all hibernating in the pupae stage.
They all look quite visible to me...
Anyway love the treatment and the composition - GMV.

the invasion has already begun and you agent larry shall be well rewarded for your patience with foot anoitings and mint juleps. mothership out....

Better see if Dave Beedon will loan you Tripod Joe. You'll need a steady hand on the camera and a witness! T. Joe is unshakeable.
Vote for coolness.

I hate that when that happens! LOL at Andra....gotta agree with her on everything, even the vote!

that's because they are skkeerrreeeddd... love the perspective here and the b/w treatement lends to the overall moodiness of the image - very nicely done Larry - Vote

Nine. There were nine bunk houses. Sorry. I have a lot to learn. I will buy a circular polarized filter for tomorrow's surveillance.
John Cooper11-Dec-2006 22:24
Dozens went in and out Larry, it is only the invisible ones that live in this type of house. Use a circular polarized filter.
Dave Beedon11-Dec-2006 22:20
I got your detailed report about this surveillance: excellent work. One thing omitted from the report was the quantity of huts and the quantity of bunks in them. This is importatnt, as it indicates the actual or planned strength of the invasion force. Please submit an addendum to the report. Thanks. By the way, the mood of the sky matches that of our somber preparations for The Invasion.
