Of course its dark it happens every night, try shooting about noon, its usually lighter then.
Sit on a metal seat in Chicago where the temperature rarely goes above zero, I dont think so.

This is quite lovely, Larry. The square format suits the strong geometric composition. I like thinking that the tower in the background is square, so the image sweeps up from the lower right corner, left across the canvas, back over and up to the street lamp and then gets fastened into the tower. The sepia tone fits beautifully with the period feel of the photograph, too. A fine piece of work.
