EASTPOINTE MICHIGAN--WAITING FOR AUTO REPAIR

EASTPOINTE MICHIGAN

Miller's Auto Repair.
The most honest mechanics I have ever encountered.
They will tell you if someone else can do it cheaper.

Looks looks a place the "Car Talk" guys would send their callers.

This has the look of an honest repair shop. The cleaner and shinier the more crooked -- dealers being at the extreme end of the spectrum. I don't trust mechanics who have time or staff to tidy up.

That "gentleman" is an undercover agent for C.H.A.O.S. Don't ask me how I know.

Like the style and all of the details. vote.

It doesn't get any more classic than this shot. It should be framed and hanging in a gallery.

I really like this one

Man, does this ever look familiar. How many hours have I spent in waiting rooms like this one? WAAAYYY too many.

I think it's the trench coat that's giving that guy an odd look. I'm not anxious to have him turn around. Eeek!

Looks a bit like a Mad scientist scene from a movie..." It's ALIVE..ALIVE!!!!"

I get my Subaru serviced at an independent garage that--like this one--is not fancy and sparkling clean. It is, however---again like this one---a place where you get treated with respect and honesty. The people make the place.

Miller's Garage on Gratiot in Eastpointe. I take my car there because a friend told me they were honest. They are. They have actually told my son and me on occasion that some work could be done cheaper and told us where.

This scene reeks of the atmosphere I've seen in garages: cinder block walls, steel desk, plain chairs, etc.
