Fabulous winter scene! We're snowed in, too. Yet, I'm sure you all have more snow. Keep warm!

People fish for fun or for food.
This man must be very hungry.

Lovely mood, GMV

Did you catch the big one, Larry? Not to worry if you didn't, because this shot is well worth the patience! A gorgeous frosty Winter scene! V~

Did you catch any frozen fish sticks? Honestly I'd feel a little funny eating out of anything called a "spillway." Too much of an industrial ring to it. Of course, I live beside a highly polluted "pond."

Haha! I did a double and triple take...then I put on my reading glasses. Could 'a sworn that the guy was standing on one leg, like an egret. Thought maybe you'd been up to some photo shop skulduggery. But put on the +150s, and I see that he's holding a white bait bucket against the snow. It'll fool you every time.

I needed a break from the heat so I came back to this gallery to chill in your great winter scenes! It takes me over 2 hours to drive to the nearest snow.
Jill14-Jul-2006 00:29
I get the chills viewing this image. However, ice fishing is something I would be willing to freeze for.

I was actually on a small "plateau" of sorts. I always wear my hiking boots in the snow for traction.
Bernard Bosmans07-Jul-2006 23:50
I don't mind getting cold feet for a shot like this. The 'catch' however is not to slip on this seemingly perilous slope Larry, but by the looks of it your concentration was allright.

I will tell you right now that I LOVE snow. I just don't like the cold. I skipped work to get this.
Dave Beedon15-Jun-2006 00:41
It would make sense to me if "fishing" in the title were changed to "avoiding."
Gary Winters05-Jun-2006 06:29
Yeah, looks like a perfect day. Brrr!!!

Une belle réalisation, les lumières ont bien maitrisées et les couleurs hivernales très bien rendues. Une très jolie photo.
