HAMMERED
08-JAN-2010 LARRY DAVID BRADEN

HAMMERED

SAINT CLAIR SHORES MICHIGAN

We got a little snow yesterday down my street.
(I used a flashback filter on this.)
I live all the way down, then turn left
into the pink, ugly eyesore building.
Be careful of the ski lift, though.

This is a lovely photo, but please don't
bring this snow with you to Florida, although
we truly were only a few degrees away from that
possibility last week!

We had 20" in Alexandria, Virginia on 12/20. All of it has just about melted. Nice shot, Larry. Reminds me of Dave's hometown--Rochester, NY--where I lived in the late 70s thru 1987.

Welcome to my world. :) Beautiful snow scene. Just please keep it there. We don't need any more.

They do, but it was still coming down. Small flakes, but steady. Fortunately I live in a condo at the end and to the left of this street.
I am asleep when they start plowing.

The atmosphere (snow, trees, etc.) is much like that in the neighborhood in which I grew up. Do they have sidewalk plows there?
bill friedlander10-Jan-2010 22:03
It looks pretty. Happy shoveling.
John Cooper10-Jan-2010 18:12
Forget using a filter on it, try a shovel, much more effective.
Is this your lot for this winter Larry, or do you expect more ?.
Fong Lam10-Jan-2010 17:37
It may be stark and bleak but this is a wonderful winter scene image, Larry.
Tricia10-Jan-2010 15:36
Lovely shot with the tall street trees framing it so well.
Enny10-Jan-2010 13:37

I know you like this weather, it's perfect for you, Larry, you probably have the doors and windows open to keep it from getting too warm inside!
Beautiful scene.
Cindi Smith10-Jan-2010 06:29
Wow, this is more than a little! Stay warm. Too cold for me!
The Third Side10-Jan-2010 03:26
Looks bitter cold. I just couldn't survive there.
