"Buddha" is the medicine for sentient beings; once the disease of sentient beings is removed, the medicine has no further use. If the disease is removed, but the medicine is kept, though you enter the realm of enlightenment (buddhahood), you are unable to enter the realm of delusion (Mara). This disease is equal to the disease of sentient beings before it is removed. When the disease is cured and the medicine removed, and both buddhahood and deluding influences are swept away entirely, only then will you have a bit of Accord with the causes and conditions of This Great Matter.
