Amelia's chest opened

For the woodworkers who were wondering what the inside looks like, here it is.
Soft closing hinges of course. Reinforced seat. The entire chest was made of poplar.
All large pieces were biscuited and glued to rough sizes before final cuts and assembly.
Lots and lots of sanding with 80 then 220 grit. No sharp edges after routing with 1/2" round over bit.
Outer corners of the seat were rounded at a fairly sharp radius. Four coats of white enamel paint sprayed on.
Sanded between coats. A 2" Forstner bit was used to help define the hand hold holes on the chest sides.
That works better than jigsawing the entire cutout.
