Common perennial found throughout Tennessee from 1'-
3' tall on a single smooth stalk bearing a terminal
umble cluster of blooms with few (as in this image)
to numerous lavender to white flowers. They grow
from a bulb that has a strong garlic odor. Found
in bloom from May to June in lawns, fields, waste
places and pastures. This patch in Pegram, TN is
covered in Asclepias tuberosa (Butterflyweed/ the
orange bloom seen in the background) as seen in this
study taken in the same location two years back...
