Wide and Blue

March 29

Western Davidson County, TN

Almost one year ago, I discovered this huge patch of Vinca minor along the
railroad tracks not far from my office. It was a chance to experiment
with the then new EF 100 Macro USM. Today I returned to capture the
blooms with the wide angle to connect to the beautiful sky beyond.

It's fun to look back and compare last year to now. That was part of the
thinking behind entering into the PaD challenge. Several things have
changed. I have gained some valuable comrades here on Pbase, added new
equipment (including the 17-40L, Giottos CF tripod and reflector used in
this shot), seen my soul mate go through the most amazing tranformation
during this pregnancy, deepened my love and respect for her and also
learned different ways of looking at things.

Thanks to all of you!!!

This stuff tries to take over our garden, and although I like it, it looks much nicer in your picture.

Nice light :) We used to call those "honeysuckles" (I know they're not) in kindergarten and pick them and bite off the ends. Probably not very good for us!

Beautiful image Scott - a real touch of spring for those of us still languishing in grey winter!
