Distant Glow

January 24

Kingston Springs, TN/ I-40

BEST SEEN IN ORIGINAL

Driving from through the Western Highland Rim into the Limestone Basin (Nashville) moves
one through a rapidly changing topography as the distant glow from the city closes to
gradually erase the stars from the sky.

As we speed through life from one destination to the next, we often overlook subtle changes
in our surroundings. Photography gives us a desire to observe and a reason to pause.

Eventually to be added to Amped... http://www.pbase.com/1designguy/amped

Nice comp, can't believe those stars! I hate the orange glow we get around our cities and can't wait to get back to the darkness :)

nicely done . . .gives me a feel of longing for the wide open that I miss so much . . and thanks for posting the daylight vantage shot. It's nice for comparison =)

This one is awesome. It really puts us into perspective with the universe and how quickly our time here passes in comparision to the universe.

My first action each morning is to walk outside and look at the stars in the sky as the sun begins its ascent. I am blessed to live where no city lights interfere. Your commentary touched me and I think you. This is fantastic image and GMV.
