The Tail
December 28

Interstate 40/Kingston Springs, TN

Weird winter weather again. Lows only in the 50s last night. Thunder,
lightning and winds ahead of another cold front pushing in this
morning. It usually makes for interesting light in the morning. I
almost ran off the road watching it as I drove to work. This is a
shot looking to the east (toward Nashville) as the tail of the storm
meets the rising sun.

1/125s f/5.6 at 38.0mm iso320 full exif

Now that is a wonderful color for a cloud. Really nice overall range of color in the image. The red orange cloudscape does it.

Wow! Scott! I know what you mean about almost running off the road trying to soak in unexpected beauty found along the trail. Looks like a sunset. Amazing effects from the storm clouds. This is Carol (Phipps). My laptop computer screen went out two days ago and I'm out of town caring for my mother whom has failing health after a massive stroke and months in a coma.
