Rays of Hope

August 31

Kingston Springs, TN

There is always hope after the passing storm. So much to be done for so many. So much loss and suffering. So many opportunities to help, support and comfort. COMMUNITY & BROTHERHOOD!

My desire for the Pbase community is that we can figure out a way to aid those who have suffered great loss. There is so much talent in this community. There has to be a way to use these gifts to raise money to help those in need. Is there any way we can contribute images to a Pbase bank to be offered for sale to aid these victims?

It has been an interesting B&W month. I have enjoyed looking at things through "color blind eyes". It has challenged me to experiment with processing and conversion. I hope it has been a pleasant ride for you. Thank you for all of your feedback.

A great shot to end a month of b&w, especially given the narrative. Your eyes have not been colour blind but colour aware. As I did, you have learnt a lot from this month. -v-

Scott this is a winner! GMV!
I agree with your thoughts on raising money, I've been invited
to exhibit in a nature art show the last weekend of this month.
I'll pledge a share of my sales towards your effort!

Stunning image Scott! I'm sure that they truly are rays of hope for a brighter tommorow. I agree with you, there has to be a way to help all of the families that have suffered such tragic losses. My hopes and prayers are with each and every one of them!

A stunning shot to end your month of b$w, Scott! This one is fantstic and very well suited in b&w. I for one have enjoyed your work this past month immensely. Full of wonderful compositions and excellent work in conversion techniques. A gallery you should be well pleased with. I like your idea of dontating photos to sell, in order to raise money for the hurricaine victims. I have no experinece in setting something like this up, but If something should materialize, I'd be more than happy to help out.

A terrific photo on it's own, but also one that conveys the emotion of your words nicely.
Guest 31-Aug-2005 17:39
