Almost all of the boardwalks over what were once beautiful dunes have been destroyed. Now the battle over repairing the dunes (some of the houses perch precariously close to the edge) or letting the natural process heal the damage is the battle de jour. Tourism would slump drastically (and has) without the repair. I can only imagine the insurance implications :(
