Contrast

Home

Yellows, light lavenders, whites and blues always stand out against the darker greens. A little more rain from tropical storm Dennis wraps back into the Western Highland Rim and accentuates the contrast.

PS CS Channel Mixer in monochrome. Settings: 40 (red) 30 (green) 30 (blue) 0 (constant).

other sizes: small medium large original auto

You know, this version of your wonderful shot is my preference,(compared to the color one) now that I see it.
I think because the background is more subdued, darker, letting the main plant really do its thing. Nicely done sir!!!

I think I prefer the b&w. The light is wonderful and really helps the hosta stand out amongst all the other greens. I also like the perspective of the shot, thanks, you've provided me with a little more inspiration :)
