Perspective

Kingston Springs, TN

As adults we see things differently. The perspective
of a child is often fresh and unadulterated. After a
visit with the Floyds, we drove them over to see this
site from the flood. While talking, Ellie told me she
wanted to look at the "mess" and walk around it. So
here are shots trying to capture some of the wonder &
emotion that Ellie expressed as we walked and talked.

A couple of shots of the Floyds from our visit today...

Great images. Ellie certainly gives a sense of scale.

Things are strange, we are experiencing drought, when we usually are flooded. When I was three, we drove on a road covered with caterpillars. For many years I had dreams of a road being washed away in flood, those caterpillars transposed to water in my subconsciousness.

Ellie adds a lot to these images, her small and delicate form alongside the brutal devastation makes for very touching images. Nicely done.

A sobering and very imaginative way to illustrate the devastation caused.

You got a great sense for appealing collages and I love the low saturation of colors here!

Big VOTE!!!!!! Amazing shots, right on the money with perspective, and Ellie's right, it's a "mess" ...wow, the power of water.

I do wonder what is in her mind as she sits there pondering.
Thought provoking shots.

Using Ellie in these shots has certainly blown the scale up,both physically and in the mind.

Great images, well presented. I especially like the one on the bottom right. A very strong portrait.
