Stranded

Pegram, Tennessee

Every Superman has his Kryptonite. Some think they are invincible. This required a water rescue just before the water completely engulfed the car (by many feet). The water had dropped 8-10' when I took this picture. This road leads to a neighborhood that has no other way in or out. They were quite literally on an island from Saturday until Tuesday morning. See this shot taken later in the day to see why I said "Every Superman has his Kryptonite"...

The forces of nature always humble the mighty when confronted head on. This was the most humbling thing I've yet experienced. We are all helping each other through this.

I have dedicated a gallery to scenes from the aftermath of the 2010 1000 year flood...

Big thanks to Shellie for loaning me her mobile hot spot to upload some images of the after shock from the flooding.
