Panorama-View from Galata Tower

Istanbul

View from Galata Tower
Today it’s possible to climb the stairs to an observation deck that gives a 360 degree, panoramic view of the city. From the balcony you can look down 50 metres to the tightly packed streets of Galata, Pera and Tunel neighbourhoods and up over to the Anatolian side of the city where Kadikoy and Uskudar are visible.
From the Bosphorus Bridge to the Maiden’s Tower and Topkapi Palace, domes and minarets and an endless swathe of tiled roofs extend to the horizon. It’s the postcard-perfect picture.
