Hello - I'm on the FZ forum, and "korsair" responded to a 'Help!' for data on stacking with the link to your page. The one aspect of your matrix of stackings and power references that I am not certain of is where you go from 12X to 18, 24 and 36X in the various examples. Were those digital zooms in camera, or cropping on the computer? - or something else?
Also what is your FZ forum ID, so I can browse back over your postings.

Hi Dave L - Glad it was helpful. Reasoning for removing the connector was that the 'rds' fits the hotshoe very snugly and I didn't want the connector jabbing my finger when removing or installing it, as I grab it by the PC flash adapter and not the point sight. However, it could be left alone so that it would still be useful with a flash unit on a seperate off camera mount. That would be a good additional remark I could add for others to consider. Thanks - 10kzOOm

Thank you for posting such thorough instructions on making a red dot sight. I just finished assembling all the parts I need. One question: what is the reason for removing the connector and copper conductor plate? Can't you just leave the bottom of the hot shoe attachment alone? Any other suggestions since you wrote the instructions?
Thanks,
Dave

Nice shots in your gallery. Looks like you're putting the FZ-10 to good use. . . .

Found your place through a link relating to the tripod adapter plate. I'd already ordered a Bogen lens support bracket to use with my Olympus TCON-14B, and was figuring I'd have to make an adapter that would center the tripod mount and, hopefully, leave the battery door clear. Needless to say, I was delighted when I saw the photos you were kind enough to post. Having that info will save me a bunch of time and work. . .thanks!
